Maria Korporal + Sonia Laura Armaniaco @ C-Nova, Pescara, Italy

The gallery YAG/garage presents Maria Korporal + Sonia Laura Armaniaco – Stories on Existence, Technology and Nature, an exhibition curated by Alessandra Arnò, produced in collaboration with Visualcontainer.

Saturday 13 June 2026 | 18:00
C-Nova | Viale Bovio, 235 | Pescara

The project traverses some of the central questions of contemporary life, from the construction of identities to the relationship between human beings and the environment, to the acceleration of consumption and the role of technology as a cultural and social device.

The selected works, created over more than a decade, bring different approaches to video art and audiovisual research into dialogue, building a path capable of questioning the gaze and the ways in which we perceive the present.

In the work of Maria Korporal, a reflection emerges linked to the impact of technologies, environmental transformations and forms of interaction between living beings, images and digital systems. Her works highlight tensions between nature and urban space, between collective memory and social behaviour, bringing to light the contradictions that run through contemporary everyday life.

The research of Sonia Laura Armaniaco focuses instead on technology as an idea of power and on the consequences it produces. Through images, sounds and heterogeneous materials, her works construct layered perceptual environments in which themes related to control, instability and the possibility of imagining new forms of relationship and awareness emerge.

Situated within a working context, the exhibition introduces a pause in the daily operational rhythm and invites a rethinking of the relationship between production and perception, efficiency and attention. In the dialogue between works, space and context, art thus becomes a tool for questioning what often remains implicit, activating new modes of observation and awareness.

Open Day

On Saturday 13 June at 18:00, the presentation of the Arte in Azienda project will take place, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition in small groups. The initiative is part of Arte in Azienda, a project curated by Ivan D’Alberto and promoted by Fondazione Hubruzzo, which C-Nova has chosen to join. The exhibition is hosted in the company’s offices, where the permanent YAG/garage collection is also on display.
