Visualcontainer is pleased to announce its participation in Kaleidoskop Mailand, the exhibition opening on August 5, 2026 at the Meckelhalle in Freiburg, curated by Andrea B. Del Guercio and Susanna Ravelli for Casa degli Artisti, as part of the international exchange project between Casa degli Artisti (Milan) and Kulturwerk T66 (Freiburg), realized in collaboration with the Italian Consulate in Freiburg.
The opening, on Wednesday, August 5 at 7:00 pm, will be introduced by Alexander Jacobs (member of the Meckelhalle), Seren Haliloğlu (city councillor of Freiburg) and Francesco Giordano (consular attaché in Freiburg), testifying to an initiative born from the collaboration between art organizations and local public institutions. The exhibition remains open through September 11, 2026.
The exhibition brings together ten artists who have developed their practice in the studios of Casa degli Artisti, offering a kaleidoscopic account of a significant part of the Milanese institution’s recent history: Alessia Bernardini, Cegobi (Matteo Bicego), Roxy Ceron, Francesco Ciavaglioli, Arianna Giorgi, Simona Da Pozzo, Claudia Müller Montes, Daniele Nicolosi, Eleonora Roaro and Visualcontainer. The project originates within Casa degli Artisti’s international programs and the multidisciplinary residency OMNIRICA. Spazi desideranti, with the aim of strengthening collaborative networks between residency and production centers.
PANORAMICA*25 // Liminal Cartographies
PANORAMICA*25 is Alessandra Arnò’s annual curatorial project dedicated to contemporary Italian video art. Now in its fifth edition, titled Cartografie Liminali, it brings together ten works that inhabit thresholds between the natural and the artificial, memory and simulation, body and machine, intimacy and platforms.
To map today does not mean describing a territory neutrally, but recognizing that every map is a device: it selects, orients, produces visions and erasures. Cartografie Liminali brings together works that inhabit thresholds between the natural and the artificial, memory and simulation, body and machine, intimacy and platforms, crisis and transformation. From the choral soundscapes of Val Badia and Elba to virtual architectures inhabited by avatars, from narratives entrusted to AI to post-human ecologies rebuilt from data and pixels, to the city of Milan observed as a field of surveillance and the war that invades the background noise of the present: “place” becomes political, perceptual and emotional matter.
The selection presents practices that do not merely represent, but construct conditions of vision, shifting the point of view onto a critical map of the present — not to close a discourse, but to keep contradictions open, make thresholds visible, and measure, in the moving image, what runs through us today.
